Wife of Marine murdered in carjacking is making a special request

The wife of the Marine veteran who was killed in a carjacking in Miami Gardens over the weekend is making a special request.

Laura Comme says her husband, Guillermo, loved the feeling of riding a motorcycle, according to CBS.

“My husband was a lover of anything that made him feel free,” Comme said. “It was an outlet to him and he said when he felt like he was flying, he could breathe easy.”

“If he’s gonna go out I want him to go out flying,” she said.

Motorcyclists are asked to gather at the Broward College Recreation Center at 7200 Pines Boulevard on Friday morning at 7:30 am. Her family says they will ride to the funeral home in Hialeah and then on to the cemetery in Miami Gardens.

Guillermo was shot and killed overnight Saturday after an armed carjacker fired one of the two weapons he was carrying, police said. The couple was leaving a party when the man approached, tried to rob them and take their vehicle.

Officers identified the man accused of killing Comme as 18-year-old Demetrious Williams.

Guillermo’s brother is said to have shot Williams after he shot Williams in the head. Both Guillermo Comme and Demetrious  Williams were taken to Aventura Hospital, where they both died.
