Two women and a young girl overpowered an Israeli soldier who grappled a Palestinian boy with a broken arm to the floor at gunpoint.
The incident occurred in the village of Nabi Saleh, near Ramallah, during protests against Palestinian land confiscation to expand the nearby Jewish Hallamish settlement.
According to the Daily Mail, The soldier placed the boy in a headlock while armed with a machine gun during clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinian protesters in the West Bank. The boy was unable to fight off the soldier, who had his gun a few inches away from his cheek.
As the soldier pinned the boy down, he was attacked by the two women who tried to pull him off the boy. The young girl joined in and forced the soldier to drop his weapon by biting him on the hand.
Eventually, the women were able to pull the soldier off and he fled the scene immediately after.
At this point, it isn’t clear what the boy did to provoke the soldier into taking such action. But, it is common for protesters, including children, to hurl stones and other objects at security forces during demonstrations.
