White House: “Taliban Not Terrorists”

While trying to come up with a coherent answer as to how the Bergdahl swap (Bergdahl for 5 GITMO Detainees) was different than the Jordan swap (Jordanian pilot for ISIS militant), White House deputy press secretary Eric Schultz stumbled and stuttered his way through an explanation that centered around the fact that the President of the United States does not consider the Taliban to be terrorists, therefore making the Bergdahl swap different.

Schultz, who speaks to the public on behalf of President Obama, stated “ the Taliban is an armed insurgency, ISIL is a terrorist group” and “we don’t make concessions to terrorist groups”.  When pressed on the difference, the cringe-worthy audio ensues (at 0:58).
