Marines with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing helped San Diego agencies put out several fires that ravaged the county in May 2014. The unit used CH-53E Super Stallions, KC-130J Super Hercules’, UH-1Y Hueys and CH-46E Sea Knights to help combat the fires throughout the area.
