Video appears to show Taliban attempting to fly US Black Hawk helicopter

The Taliban are enjoying their new toys at the expense of the US taxpayer, including a UH-60 Black Hawk.

The former Afghan Air Force UH-60 is now in the hands of the people who were hiding in caves and villages for twenty years, thanks to a hasty withdrawal from the United States and a lack of willingness to fight by many of the Afghan Security Forces.

Video released to the internet shows what appears to be an older UH-60 being taxied around Kandahar Airport in southeastern Afghanistan.

Despite the speed in which the helicopter rolls around the tarmac, the UH-60 does not appear to leave the ground.

According to the New York Post, at least four UH-60s are believed to be in Taliban hands.

The Taliban are now in control of a huge stockpile of US weapons, thanks to the hasty exit of US forces.

“We’ve made the Taliban into a major US arms dealer for the next decade,” said Adam Andrzejewski, CEO of Open the Books, a US-based nonprofit group that studies government spending.
