USS New York Honors 9/11 Victims Each Day

Each night, right before lights out, the USS New York’s chaplain reads a name of one of the nearly 3,000 individuals who perished on 9/11 and says a prayer for them and their family.

The USS New York has 7.5 tons of World Trade Center steel in her bow. The ship’s motto is “Strength Forged Through Sacrifice – Never Forget.”
