A retired US Air Force officer who served as the USAF’s Chief of Staff says he was clueless about having his photo featured on a dating website for supporters of President Donald J. Trump.
Retired General Mark Welsh, whose photo is featured on the Trump.Dating.com website, has questions as to why his face is featured, despite never using the service.
Now the dean of Texas A&M, Welsh -a man who has been happily married for decades- is puzzled as to why his photo was featured.
“Dean Welsh has never heard of this website, has no idea who they are, and has no association with them or any other dating site. He considers himself the happiest married man on this planet,” Susan Robertson, director of communications and external relations for the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.
According to the Washington Examiner, Welsh, now 65, is not planning to sue the site but wants the photo to come down.
“It is a frustrating waste of time to correct the fraudulent use of his image and imply any association with them,” Robertson said.
Welsh allegedly has never revealed his political stances in terms of how he feels about the president.
This isn’t the first time that “Trump Dating” has caught the attention fo the media for photos used on their site. Last week, a photo of a couple was discovered on the site, with one of the subjects later being revealed to be a sex offender. Both the offender’s photo and that of Welsh have been removed.
