US soldier goes “Full Metal Jacket” savage during firefight in Afghanistan

A US Soldier in Afghanistan went “Full Metal Jacket” with his M240B, channeling beloved actor Adam Baldwin’s signature character in the film as he let the lead fly.

The infantryman -who came under fire from the enemy- channeled his inner “Animal Mother” by unleashing a hot stream of fire from his medium machine gun onto those who wished to do him harm.

In the background, the Soldier’s comrades can be heard cheering him on.

For those who are unfamiliar with the iconic 1987 war film Full Metal Jacket, “Animal Mother” was the nickname of a combat-hungry Marine who saw combat alongside the film’s main character during the Vietnam War.

Portrayed by Adam Baldwin (who is known for his affection towards US military personnel), Animal Mother was unafraid to charge into hazardous situations, his M60 machine gun blazing a trail for other Marines to follow.

Needless to say, Adam Baldwin would be proud. We know we sure are.
