US Army accidentally drops ball on France’s secret military involvement in Syria

The presence of French forces in Syria was allegedly revealed by the US Army, who released photos earlier this week showing French military vehicles in Deir Ezzor.

The Army released the photos on Wednesday, which revealed French military vehicles and raised questions on the issue of French operations in the region.

While French forces have been active in other areas where the US military is active, Syria is not among them. According to France 24, the French government has no officially-reported presence in then Middle Eastern nation, which has become something of a proxy-battlefield for the United States and Russia.

The US Army has since pulled the photos from the internet.
