Two Guardsmen served pizza with glass baked into it in Washington D.C.


Two National Guardsmen from South Carolina realized the potential dangers associated with being in uniform after they found shards of glass in their pizza.

The Guardsmen, who were staying at the District of Columbia’s Marriott Marquis last week, had ordered a pizza via Uber Eats from a nearby pizzeria following a break in the nearly endless duty day in the nation’s capital city.

Upon opening the pizza box, the Guardsmen notices shards of glass baked into the dough and cheese, which undoubtedly caused alarm.

No injuries were reported, as the Guardsmen did not consume the pizza.

According to the Post and Courier, the Guardsmen were advised to make a police report, but no such report has been verified by authorities at this time.

The Guardsmen were part of a 500-man force that SC Gov. Henry McMaster, and have since returned home.
