Tomb of Unknown sentinel charges woman with Ipad crossing barrier to take pictures

An inconsiderate tourist hoping to get that “perfect shot” with an iPad was confronted by the world-renowned Sentries who patrol the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The woman, who clearly did not understand why the barriers surround the hallowed site, casually walked onto the site, iPad filming away.

Mere moments later, she heard a bellowing voice of disapproval pierce the reverent silence that surrounded the Tomb.

“IT IS REQUESTED THAT ALL VISITORS REMAIN BEHIND THE CHAINED ROPE AT ALL TIMES!” the Sentinel shouted at the top of his lungs with audible strain to his voice.

Despite moving at great speed, the woman’s return to the designated public area implied indignation for being inconvenienced.

The incident took place during a wreath-laying ceremony, a formal and sacred event that often includes dignitaries and public figures.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is guarded twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a a year.

This incident purportedly occurred in 2016 and was recorded by Tim Stampfly.
