Thugs beat disabled veteran with his own walker in broad daylight

A disabled Army combat veteran was the victim of a vicious assault at a Walmart in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Police are looking for two suspects, one being described as a black male in his early 30’s.

Jeffery Hardeman said the thugs stole his money, walker, and few other things.

Hardeman said as he exited a bus at the Walmart one of the suspects asked him for the time and then started beating him.  The suspects then fled the scene in a blue Dodge Durango.

“He grabbed me around the neck and he started choking me punching me in the side and the head grabbing for my stuff,” Hardeman said to ABC news. “Then he threw me to the ground.  Then he took my walker and started hitting me with the walker, then ran with the walker and took off.”

The robbers punched him in the back of the head, rib cage, face and beat him with his own walker.

“I won’t be going out at night, or by myself,” Hardeman said. “I’m praying they will be caught, you know. If they did this to me, they’ll do it to someone else.”
