Three US senators given classified briefing about UFOs seen by Navy pilots

Three United States senators are reported to have been briefed by the Pentagon on Wednesday, concerning reports of recent UFO sightings by Naval Aviators.

The briefing was delivered by the United States Navy, and included staff from the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence.

Members of Congress and the Armed Service and Defense Appropriations Committees have also been briefed, according to the Daily Mail.

The reports come as Naval Aviators continue to step forward on UFO cases, dating as far back as 2004.

The sightings were archived as part of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, which seeks to collect sightings of UFOs for defense purposes.

As far as the UFOs being piloted by “Little Green Men,” President Donald Trump isn’t so sure.

“I think it’s probably…I want them to think whatever they think,” the president told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. “They do say, and I’ve seen, and I’ve read, and I’ve heard. And I did have one very brief meeting on it. But people are saying they’re seeing UFOs. Do I believe it? Not particularly.”

AATIP reportedly spent $22 million over five years to collect and analyze “anomalous aerospace threats.”
