Joe is a one of a kind Sailor/dog that has saved countless lives. He is currently the only ‘stress-sniffing’ dog employed by the Department of Defense. To date, he has identified 47 people as having emotional stress. Seven of those 47 admitted to have suicidal plans and 33 are currently in mental health treatment. According to his handler, LCDR Tracy Krauss, “he has never been wrong…he is an awesome dog”
