Special Forces Conduct Clearing Operation in Kapisa


U.S. Special Forces Soldiers with the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force and Afghan National Army commandos conducted clearing operations in the Nejrab district, Kapisa province, Afghanistan on May 27, 2014. The purpose of the clearing operation was to disrupt insurgent freedom of maneuver in the area. The combined forces engaged in extensive firefights with hostile forces during the operation.
