
Soldiers who recently deployed from Fort Riley have begun work along the border.
Soldiers from the 97th Military Police Brigade, and 41st Engineering Company worked along side with U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the US-Mexico border in Hidalgo, TX.
The soldiers applied 300 meters of concertina wire along the border in support of Operation on Friday.
“The soldiers will provide a range of support including planning assistance, engineering support, equipment and resources to assist the Department of Homeland Security along the southwest border,” according to the Department of Defense.
