Soldier, son of Army 1SG, on the run from police after trying to steal guns from base

Law enforcement in North Carolina are searching for a National Guardsman who is wanted for attempting to steal military firearms from Fort Bragg.

23-year-old Army Specialist Cameron Reese Bray was caught attempting to steal M4 Carbines from the installation, fleeing into the woods after being confronted.  Bray refers to himself as “Gangway Bray” on his Instagram page and lists himself as an Army Motor transport operator (88M) with the “732nd transportation company”.

A member of the North Carolina National Guard, he is the son of an Army First Sergeant and the brother of a US Army veteran.  His father, retired First Sergeant David Bray has been an Army JROTC Instructor at Moorehead High School in Eden, NC for the last thirteen years.

According to a press release from Fort Bragg, Bray is reported to have a criminal history and was last seen on the western end of Fort Bragg. According to WFMY, he is believed to be heading towards Greensboro, where he currently resides.
