An AMBER Alert has been issued for a little girl from a military family in Tennessee- two months after she first went missing.
15-month-old Evelyn Mae Boswell has been missing since December, but her absence was not reported until earlier this week
It was not until the TN Department of Children’s Services reported the missing girl to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office that an official investigation began.
Evelyn’s parents, Maggie Boswell and Ethan Perry are a military family, with Perry currently serving in the US Army.
According to the Daily Mail, Perry is stationed in Louisiana and went to social media to announce his involvement in the investigation.
“I’m currently working with authorities trying to find Evelyn. I can’t say much more than that at the moment,” he wrote.
SCSO Captain Andy Seabolt said at the outset of the investigation, Evelyn’s case did not meet the criteria required for an AMBER Alert, but after getting the okay from state level law enforcement, the AMBER was issued.
