Soldier pursues her passion for pole dancing after leaving the Army

A former medical professional in the US Army is now working the poles- and not in the political sense.

Alisa Lebedeva, a former Brooke Army Medical Center Burn OR Surgical Tech, has taken fitness to dizzying heights by taking up pole dancing, going so far as to co-found a business around the practice.

Having lived everywhere from Texas to the Ukraine, the athletic fitness enthusiast was previously known as Specialist Williams, US Army, before changing her name.

“Being in the military was definitely one of the hardest jobs I had to do,” she wrote on Instagram. “Very challenging and required a lot of self control, patience and strength- mental and physical.

The hardest part for me was to be away from the family.”

With over, 5,837 Instagram followers, Lebedeva dazzles her fans with her work at North Pole Dance Studio in San Antonio, Texas.

Located in the Stone Oak area, the studio offers an exciting kind of fitness regimen in the form of pole dancing, yoga and stretching classes.
