Army Spc. Torian A. Davis (left) is accused of stabbing 1LT Jared Abes (right), killing a woman, and slashing another soldier's throat.

A Fort Bliss Soldier with the 1st Armored Division has been arrested on a slew of serious charges after he allegedly killed a woman and wounded two other soldiers over the weekend, including an officer.

22-year-old Specialist Torian A. Davis was arrested on charges of murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault causing serious injury.

The El Paso Police report Davis initiated the unprovoked attack at a local apartment complex on Saturday, killing a woman and wounding two Soldiers, identified as Specialist Anthony Velasco and First Lieutenant Jared Abes.

The 25-year-old woman’s identity has not been released.

In their report, the police claim Davis, the woman, and Velasco were drinking and doing drugs with the woman when Davis -reportedly “without any provocation”- slashed Velasco’s throat and fatally stabbed the woman.

According to the El Paso Times, Abes had parked his car at the complex and was randomly attacked by Davis after the suspect left the apartment.

All three victims were taken into the hospital, though the woman did not survive.

Davis was booked on Wednesday for his crimes, and is being held on a $1.1 million bond.

The US Army later confirmed that Davis is a soldier with the 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas.
