Arundel County police have identified the woman who was shot and killed in Severn, Maryland earlier this week. The murder victim, 24-year-old Karlyn Serane Ramirez, was an Army soldier stationed at Ft Meade.
Officials say Ramirez was found shot to death in the Lake Village Rental Townhomes just before 8 am on Tuesday. Her five-month old baby girl was reportedly lying right next to her, unharmed.
Officers were called to the home after some neighbors noticed a “number of dogs running loose.” When they went to return the dogs to the home, they found the door opened, then called police.

The Lake Village town home community has a large military presence and many keep to themselves, according to the Capital Gazette.
