Soldier charged with murder after killing a robber

A US Army Soldier based out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky has had a hearing scheduled after he was accused of killing a teenage boy.

Jamison T. Mullins II, is charged with one count of criminal homicide in the Friday, March 13, shooting death of 15-year-old Damariontae Brown.

Mullins reportedly shot Brown at around 3 AM on March 13, after Mullins saw the young man breaking into his wife’s vehicle.

If someone enters the home, property, motor vehicle, or a hotel room that is occupied by a resident in the state of Tennessee, said resident is legally allowed to defend themselves and needs not to attempt to retreat before doing so.

Arrested by Clarksville Police, Mullins was initially held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond.

On Monday, March 16, a judge set his bond at  $100,000.

According to Clarksville Now, the preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at 1:30 PM.

The mother of Damariontae Brown, Shawntae Brown, has lost two sons to fatal gunshot wounds. Her other late son, Quincy  Brown, was killed in East Nashville after getting into a confrontation with Antwain Kelly, Dejuan Bell, and Robert Howard.

Bell and Kelly have been accused of firing shots during the incident.
