Soldier caught on camera doing a good deed, trolled by veterans for not wearing cover

A US Army Soldier near Fort Bragg graced the home of a North Carolina resident, folding an American flag that had been damaged in a storm.

The Soldier, who seemingly stopped after he noticed the flag hanging from a Hope Mills residence, recovered the flag, which had been damaged and was laying on the ground at the time.

“A storm damaged our flag pole and ripped the rope, causing the flag to hit the ground,” the homeowners wrote.  “An unknown Army soldier noticed the flag on the ground, and took it upon himself to properly fold the flag and place it on a package on our front door step.  The soldier was not aware that our cameras recorded his random act of kindness.”

However, no good deed goes unpunished on the internet- and the Soldier in question was torn asunder by veterans who noticed he was not wearing his cover.

“Where is his cover?” asked Kim Roberts.

Others felt the Soldier’s newfound fame might make him a target for punishment by his unit.

“Dude is about to get hit with a UCMJ violation when this goes viral,” another user wrote.
