Senior Navy official caught on camera making threats with gun

A senior naval official is under investigation after he was caught on camera threatening a group of young men with a handgun.

Karnig Ohannessian, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Environment, was recorded by one of the young men during the altercation.

He can be seen in the video pointing the gun at the men, accusing them of being drunk and making noise outside his home in the Washington suburbs, according to CBS news.

The incident apparently occurred last month and wasn’t broken up until Ohannessian’s wife pleaded with her husband to back down.

One of the young men’s mother filed a complaint after the incident but the investigation was not initiated until the video was released to the Navy by CBS News. No charges have been filed against Ohannessian and the investigation remains open.
