Over the weekend someone targeted government license plates on a military vehicle outside a recruiting station in the South County area of Missouri.
Following the incident, an alert went out which included the license plate number: “G13 6270 I.”
Along with that information was a message detailing the crime saying, “Please provide this information to … personnel manning security checkpoints … in the event a vehicle tried to gain access using the stolen license plates.”
At the center of this investigation — an unmarked car that recruiters use to drive new soldiers, marines and sailors wherever they need to go to complete their recruitment process. The car was parked in an area where Army, Navy, and Marine recruiting offices are located.
According to Fox2Now, both St. Louis City and County police confirmed they received the alert yesterday. While government and military sources haven’t confirmed that to the media, it appears from the wording of it, the alert has gone out to government and military installations too.
