The search intensifies for a missing Air Force veteran from Hobe Sound, Florida this morning.
Martin County Sheriff’s officials say authorities spent a fifth day Sunday “scouring woods, parks and beaches as part of a full scale search” for 30-year-old Tricia Todd.
NBC reports, the search included “helicopters, Marine units, bloodhounds and ATVs, which were deployed in woods, state parks and beaches where Todd was known to take early morning walks.”
When Todd vanished last week, her car keys were found in the ignition of her vehicle –which police say was at a neighbor’s home. Her purse was still in the car, they say, but her wallet and cellphone were missing.
Police say Todd didn’t pick up her toddler Wednesday morning and that’s when family members became suspicious.
Her brother says, “You could put a hurricane through her, she would (still) go pick up her daughter.” Todd was also due for a shift as a hospice nurse on Saturday, but reportedly never showed up.
Authorities believe her ex-husband was the last person to see her. They say he is cooperating with investigators.
