Shreveport, LA – The airman missing from Barksdale Air Force Base is back in a Shreveport hospital after being found by police.
Officers found him at 8:15 a.m. Sunday after he was reportedly last seen near Brentwood Hospital on Wednesday.
Airman 1st Class Robert M. Mayfield was found sleeping on a park bench in Shreveport.
“Mr. Mayfield did not require any type of medical attention and stated he was fine,” Detective Rodney J. Stewart said to WBTV.
The 24-year-old voluntarily readmitted himself to Shreveport hospital.
He is a 2014 graduate of East Texas Christian Academy in Tyler, Texas, who graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
