Stand-up comedienne Amy Schumer will be releasing her new book, “The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo,” later this month. In it, she discusses, in great detail, the only one-night stand she’s ever had. The lucky man is an ‘attractive British stranger’ she meets on a plane, whom she later discovers is in the British version of the Marines.
She takes readers back to that moment on the airplane, when she first meets the handsome Brit:
“I was in heat, as they say. Who says this? I don’t know. Shut up and keep reading about my getting pummeled by this British superhero. There was zero turbulence, yet I still found reasons to grab his arm and bury my face in his shoulder. My clitoris was thumping like the Tell-Tale Heart and I kept thinking of the 98 Degrees song “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche).”
The two did not make it into the Mile High Club that day. Instead, Schumer waited patiently to meet him back at her hotel in Tampa, Florida, where she was on tour at the time. She describes the tryst as “one of the best nights of her life.”
She says the encounter helped her find her self-confidence again, but even better, the sex was its own reward: “No lessons to be learned. No agenda other than fun.”
Schumer will also be starring in the upcoming drama, “Thank you for Your Service”—the film adaptation of David Finkel’s book about how PTSD affects US service members returning home from war. Jason Hall, who wrote the screenplay for “American Sniper,” will be making his directorial debut with this film.
