Russia claims it has brought down a U.S. MQ-5B Hunter drone over Crimea using “complex radio-electronic technology” according to published reports. Reports indicate a Russian cybewarfare unit intercepted and downed the drone by hacking into the communications link. If true, the incident would be similar to the downing of a U.S. RAQ-170 Sentinel drone over Iran in 2011. (PHOTO: MQ-5B Hunter)
