Actress Rose McGowan took it upon herself to apologize to the non-Western world for the American airstrike in Iraq that took out an Iranian general, begging Iran not to retaliate.
Issuing an apology via Twitter, McGowan claimed that the US disrespected Iran by killing the general, who is partially responsible for countless US casualties in Iraq.
“We want peace with your nation,”she said. We are being held hostage by a terrorist regime. We do not know how to escape. Please do not kill us. #Soleimani.”
McGowan also claimed that “52%” of America humbly apologize.
Other actors and activists chimed in as well to condemn the airstrike, including Michael Moore, John Cusack and John Legend.
“Trump in full fascist 101 mode-,steal and lie – until there’s nothing left and start a war – He’s so idiotic he doesn’t know he just attacked Iran And that’s not like anywhere else,” Cusack said.
According to the Daily Mail, a statement from the Defense Department said Soleimani was targeted because he “was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region.”
McGowan went on to insist she would never vote Republican.
“I will never vote Republican. I want the Democrats to win because we are less likely to die,” she tweeted. “I am a conscientious objector to the USA, it’s policies, lies, corruption, nationalism, racism, and deep misogyny. It is our right and duty as citizens to dissent.”
