Road rager runs over veteran’s motorcycle during Memorial Day ride

A motorist was caught on camera running over a Navy veteran on a motorcycle on the border of Hillsborough and Pasco counties in Florida.

Abraham Garcia started recording the incident on his cell phone camera after witnessing a verbal altercation between the motorcyclist and the people riding in a gray Pontiac.

During the video recording, the driver of the Pontiac can be seen driving over the motorcycle while the veteran and his female passenger were still on it.

The driver of the Pontiac has been identified as 31-year-old Robert Vance by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

According to ABC, FHP arrested Vance about five minutes after finding his vehicle with damage consistent with the crash.

Robert Vance apparently has a long criminal record. He has a record of traffic offences and multiple arrests for drugs and violence.  He has been charged for leaving the scene of a crash and aggravated battery.

The passengers on the motorcycle have been reported as “okay” after being taken to the hospital.
