The wife of a deployed sailor was infuriated when she was offered free drinks at a pizza restaurant in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Sailor’s spouse went to CiCi’s pizza for her soon-to-be 10-year-old son’s birthday celebration when she asked if they had a military discount for military spouses.

The store manager told the spouse the company policy for discounts is to offer active-duty and retired military a free drink, when she asked about a discount for spouses, according to her post about the experience in a private military wives group.

She claims the manager told her, “man is issued a seabag, not a spouse.”

Infuriated by his statement and apparently by the discount only being a free drink, she asked to talk to corporate, by which the man said he was the district manager.

“I don’t care about a free drink, I care that the man feels that the only the service member and openly gives such disrespect to [a] military spouse,” she wrote.

Do you feel the manager was rude and disrespectful or do you feel she overstepped her role as a military spouse? Comment below and let us know.
