“QAnon Shaman” was kicked out of the US Navy in 2007

The fur headdress-wearing “QAnon Shaman” who is now infamous for making his way around the US Capitol building during a January protest that turned ugly was reportedly chaptered out of the Navy for refusing to take an anthrax vaccine.

33-year-old Jacob Anthony Chansley, who turned himself in to the FBI for breaching the Capitol last Wednesday, reportedly enlisted in the Navy in 2005.

After completing Boot Camp and occupational specialty school, Chansley was assigned to the USS Kitty Hawk until 2006.

On September 29, 2007, the Seaman’s Apprentice was transferred to a a Transient Personnel Unit in Puget Sound in Washington state and out-processed on October 11 of the same year.

The E-2 did roughly two years of service, according to the Daily Mail.

While Navy officials have declined to discuss the nature of his discharge, it is believed that he was chaptered for refusing to take the anthrax vaccine- an inoculation that has been historically controversial within military circles.

Chansley’s military record notes he received the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon.
