Police looking for 2 tour Iraq War veteran’s killer

The family of Shawn David O’Hearn, an Army veteran killed in a hit and run, is looking for answers as to who was behind the vehicle that took his life.

O’Hearn, 24, served two tours of duty in Iraq, but lost his life after jumping from a moving car and being hit by another vehicle, according to NBC 25.

According to police officers, O’Hearn was riding in a car with friends heading north in the 9400 block of Gera Road when he jumped from the vehicle while it was moving somewhere between 50 and 55 miles per hour.

“There was a 2nd vehicle following the vehicle that hit our victim if somebody in that car has some information we could very much like to talk to that person,” said Lt. Christopher Luty.

The family is searching for answers as to what happened five nights ago to provide closure. His father feels he may have jumped from the vehicle due to an argument between the driver and passenger, as he could not tolerate loud noise or conflict since returning to Iraq.

Despite this information, there are a lot of unanswered questions.
