U.S. service members completed the exercise as part of the Helicopter Rope Suspension Training Master’s Course. The HRST Master’s Course, hosted by Special Operations Training Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, based in Okinawa, Japan, is a 10-day course which certifies U.S. service members the ability to land on the ground quickly in situations where aircraft may have difficulty landing.
