Yes, you read that correctly. Yes, an enlisted member of the United States Armed Forces just sat for the playing of the National Anthem while on base.
The unknown sailor now joins the likes of Colin Kaepernick protesting racial injustice in America by sitting for the Anthem. At one point during the video she hears a group of Marines walking by and says “Aww f&ck, some Marines just walked by. G*d dammit.” After they walk by she laughs and continues, “the last people I want to get in an argument with right now are some f&cking gung-ho-ass Marines.”
It’s being reported the video was recorded at the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Pensacola, Florida, according to Military.com.
It’s also being reported that command is aware of the video and for now she will be allowed to continue her training.
