President Obama really needs to work on his short game. The president unseated the wedding plans of a military couple set to tie the knot on a Hawaiian golf resort Sunday.

Reported by Bloomberg politics’ Michael Bender, the military couple, Army Captains Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr actually sent President Obama an invite to the ceremony, knowing the President liked to frequent the golf course on his leisure time. He obviously declined.

But thats where things got weird.  After declining the invitation, the President decided to play a round of golf there, displacing the would be newlyweds.

” It was kind of ironic (He) got the letter from them and then within hours, they were told they had to be moved due to him” a family member said. “It was emotional,  especially for her. She’s the bride and in less than 24 hours they had to change everything they planned. “

The story did receive a bit of a happy ending, though.  The couple was moved to a better, more secluded spot. “He apologized and congratulated them. They had a wonderful talk” the bride’s sister said.
