A Navy Master-at-Arms is dead after a civilian crashed through a barricade at Virginia’s Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story on Saturday night.
The ramming took place at Gate 8 at around 7:35 PM, when the male suspect entered the outbound lane at high-speed, smashing into the MA’s vehicle.
The MA and suspect were taken to the hospital, with the former succumbing to his injuries.
According to WTKR, the MA’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the City of Virginia Beach Police Department are working jointly on the matter.
The investigation is ongoing.
