Navy chief confesses to exposing himself to 9-year old girl at Lowe’s store

A Navy chief petty officer, stationed at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, is accused of exposing himself to a child at a home improvement store in southeast Georgia.

40-year-old Chief Petty Officer Robert Holzheuser, was stationed on the USS Georgia, but he’s now behind bars at the Camden County Jail, facing child molestation charges.

Police received a report just before Christmas that a man exposed himself twice to a 9-year-old girl while she was shopping with her family at Lowe’s. The victim, scared and in tears, grabbed her mother to leave the store, after she noticed a man “shadowing them down the aisles.”

The victim apparently gave police a very good description of the suspect and “useful” surveillance video also assisted police with their investigation. Two weeks after the incident, NCIS tracked down Holzheuser on base at Kings Bay, where he was arrested.

According to a Kingsland police officer who spoke with News 4, Chief Holzhueser confessed to the allegations, while being interviewed by Navy investigators.

“He said that he had a problem and he probably needed to talk to someone about it, but didn’t really go into any details,” the officer said.

Holzhueser is charged with one count of child molestation and one count of indecent exposure.
