
Officials at Naval Air Station Oceana say a shooter has been apprehended after one person was injured during an active shooter incident.
A spokesperson with the Navy Region Mid-Atlantic said a female sailor was shot during an isolated domestic incident that happened at the base around 6:45 a.m.
According to WAVY, she was taken to a local hospital and her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The shooter has only been identified as a male Sailor, who is no longer a threat.
The lockdown on the base that was put in order during the incident has since been lifted.
