Newly released footage from this past weekend appears to show a National Guard soldier assigned to the U.S.-Mexico border allowing migrants to illegally cross into the United States via private property.
The footage was shared by Fox LA reporter Bill Melugin and shows a female in what appears to be a U.S. Army uniform calmly backing up from a fence as a gate is opened to let immigrants illegally cross the border.
While dozens enter the United States through the fence, a watercraft, which Melugin claims to be Border Patrol, can be seen watching the incident.
According to Melugin, the Texas National Guard denied the soldier was one of theirs.
Melugin claims the female soldier is “a Title 10 soldier from the Missouri [Army National Guard]” and was operating under orders from the federal government and working with the Border Patrol.
NEW: Security video from a contact in Eagle Pass, TX shows a large group of migrants crossing illegally onto private property this morning. Crossings have been down big in Texas last few days, but are expected to rise again as cartels/smugglers figure out the post T42 border. pic.twitter.com/6iLcIeUkuY

Melugin also noted that the gate was blocked the day after the incident, citing Governor Abbot’s “stricter effort to have TX soldiers and troopers physically block and repel illegal crossings.”
