Two Georgia nurses and an aide have been indicted by a grand jury for allowing an elderly World War II veteran to die right in front of them.

They were caught on camera laughing as 89-year-old James Dempsey’s gasped for air and pleaded for help at Northeast Atlanta Health and Rehabilitation in 2014.

Former nurse Loyce Pickquet Agyeman, of Snellville, Georgia is charged with felony murder and neglect to an elder person.

The indictments are the result of a criminal investigation launched by Brookhaven Police Department in November.   After Dempsey’s family filed a lawsuit, in which they reached a settlement agreement, 11Alive was able to obtain the video of the incident and video of court depositions.
