Mexico’s newly-formed National Guard is already going bad, at least in the Sinaloa area of Mazatlan.
One member of the Mexican National Guard (GN) has been detained and two others are being sought after three men were spotted walking out of a brush area where the charred remains of a male was found.
Local police reported smelling burning flesh before finding the body and questioned the men as they left the brush area.
According to Breitbart, Sergio Luis Chavarin Duran was the Guardsman detained, sporting a Navy-style uniform in his government ID photo.
Two of the suspects have been revealed to be brothers, though no positive IDs have been given outside of Duran.
The GN was formed by President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador as a method of fighting cartels with federal troops and resources.
