Marines Test Pack That Generates Electricity

U.S. Marines tested a pack (the Lightening Pack) that converts normal walking movement into electrical power at ExFOB 2014, a week-long expo at Camp Pendleton, California that brings Marines and companies together for evaluation of gear. The purpose of ExFOB (Experimental Forward Operating Base) is to evaluate equipment that lightens the warfighter’s load and reduces energy usage in the field, allowing Marines to extend their operational reach.
