Marines got a little weird at 4th of July Beach Bash at Camp Pendleton

When it comes to blowing off some steam while in the Marine Corps, every Marine is a little different.

If you’re a Marine at Camp Pendleton the 4th of July Beach Bash at Del Mar beach is the place to do it on the 4th. The event includes a free car giveaway, a DJ, and, well, of course, an entire day of drinking on the beach.

The Camp Pendleton website described the event as “a full day of music and fun for all, featuring; Live set by Dj Mike, Food trucks, specialty vendors, Margaritaville serving adult beverages, an expanded kids’ fun zone, cash prizes, a chance to win a 2019 Ford Ranger and a Fireworks Show Finale!”

As with any military event that involves alcohol, a public safety brief video preceded the bash.

During the video, Colonel Jeffrey Holt asks, “We are giving away a free car. What could go wrong?” While the videos posted to social media suggest Marines enjoyed themselves, some probably had a bit too much to drink -something the Marine Corps command clearly anticipated judging by the of the safety briefing.

One Marine wearing a very small bathing suit showed off his provocative dances moves on the beach.

Another Marine got pretty friendly with a much older Marine.
