Marine catches his girlfriend cheating while away on duty

A US Marine came up with a clever way to catch an unfaithful girlfriend in the act- and it paid off in a big way.

Marine Daniel (last name withheld) developed the sly cheating-confirmation technique in the early days of 2017, when he suspected his then-girlfriend might have been unfaithful to him.

Creating a series of fake social media profiles, Daniel eventually set his boot camp-era girlfriend up for an ambush, tricking her into believing he was another guy willing to play the role of “Jody.”

With the trap set, Daniel masterfully set the sting into motion, calling her on video messaging through the fake account.

“You didn’t think it was me that was calling, did you?” he asked her when she answered the video chat.

Knowing she was busted to “ex” status, the girl quickly ended the call and disappeared into oblivion.

While this story sounds like it ends on a bummer note, don’t be too quick to jump to conclusions. In the end, Daniel found a golden rebound in the form of a Missouri girl named Jessica, who would later become his wife.

Finding happiness with his new girlfriend, the two were married in July of 2018.
