Marine Sergeant says Marines “now a days look like straight garbage”

A female Marine Drill Instructor has had enough of Marines who don’t take pride in their work- and she’s taken the matter to the internet.

Arii Villamil Novoa came to the United States from Bogata, Columbia. Despite not being native-born, she lives, breathes and bleeds the Red, White and Blue.

In a recent video, she spoke out against Marines who have lost their professional bearing and are acting no better than recruits.

“You see a lot of Marines nowadays, walking around- and they look like straight garbage,” she said late last month. “You look like a recruit.”

She urged Marines to remember why they wanted to join, and to remember that pride in the Corps begins with pride in themselves.

I’m [going to] tell you first hand that I’m not perfect,” she said. “But..I’m still [going to] look good. Because I’m prideful, I’m thankful for the Marine Corps.”

In addition to being sharply-dressed while on duty, Novoa also maintains high degrees of physical fitness and fashion sense.
