Marine kicked out for refusing COVID-19 vaccine over religious beliefs

It appears the pandemic policy purges have begun, following the Department of Defense’s decision to make vaccinations mandatory for personnel.

Just a month after the policy was announced and given a September deadline, US Marine Cpl. Whitney McHaffie has been given discharge papers due to her  refusal to comply with mask and COVID-19 vaccination mandates.

As of right now, it is believed that the corporal is the first service member to be forced out of the service for violating COVID-related rules.

According to military.com, McHaffie served at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina.

“McHaffie believes she was singled out and that officers sought to make an example of her,” military.com reported. “She estimates only about half the Marines in her unit were vaccinated and most did not comply with the mask mandate.”

The Marine veteran and amateur MMA fighter appeared on a now-viral social media video with Josh Mandel, a former Ohio state treasurer who is currently in his second run for the Senate.

In the video, McHaffie stated the mask mandate violated her religious liberties, adding that she doesn’t believe masks are effective and wearing them would be to bear false witness, a violation of the ninth commandment in Judaism and Christianity.

Furthermore, the amateur fighter noted that the use of fetal tissue in COVID-19 vaccine research was also an ethical issue for her.
