At age twenty one, Marine Cpl. Kyle Carpenter threw himself on a Taliban hand grenade to protect a fellow Marine. He was labeled PEA (Patient Expired on Arrival). The enemy killed him, he came back. Since then he’s ran a marathon, completed a mud run and jumped from a plane. He won’t ever quit. He’s just getting started. Today, the White House announced that he will be receiving the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions in Afghanistan.
