Manhunt underway for soldier who has gone missing during land navigation course


A soldier has reportedly gone missing during a land navigation exercise in Florida.

Cayln McLemor, a member of the Alabama Army Reserve was reported missing at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center in Starke, FL.

According to a press release from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, he was attending a military training class at the Basic Leader Course at Camp Blanding’s 211th Regiment Regional Training Institute on Wednesday, and has not been seen since.

“The combination of these units total over 450 men and women deployed to assist with the search for Specialist Cayln McLemor,” Sheriff Darryl Daniels said a press release.

Multiple agencies, such as the Florida Highway Patrol, US Customs and Border Patrol, Camp Blanding military personnel and multiple county sheriff departments are helping the Clay County Sheriff’s Office in the search.

According to his Facebook profile, Mclemor is from Memphis, Tennesee.
